The Story Behind the Picture:
Don't you love wandering around someplace you've never been before and stumbling upon a beautiful scene that just grabs you? Ordinary things are made extraordinary by place, juxtaposition, color, or light!
After walking down some main streets, I turned down a narrow ally and found this lovely sky-blue bike against a wall of beautiful colored patina in Florence Italy. Someone loves that bike - the color of the early morning sky, and perhaps rode it to work that day.
Or maybe they lived in an apartment above those entry doors. What was in the basket? Flowers? Fresh warm bread? Vegetables or cheese? Maybe a bottle or two of nice red wine?
Whatever the chore or errand the owner had been on, we can only wonder and let our imaginations wander the streets of Florence one summer evening on our Italian, sky-blue bicycle.
